“Oh no! The lens fell out of my glasses! I can’t even see to drive home!” a wonderful, extremely hard-working fellow employee frantically told me yesterday. OK, let’s think…where were you today? “I was everywhere!”
We were so busy we had no time to look for very long. An hour or so later I prayed silently: Lord I know this may be a small thing to a lot of people but it is huge for us. Glasses for us “mature women” are a major necessity plus they are very expensive! I found a flashlight and just carefully started to backtrack where she had been. I thought maybe the lens would reflect the light like when one is lost and in the woods and uses reflection to get the helicopter’s attention. I saw that on TV the other day…
After about 20 minutes I directed the now starting to dim light from the flashlight under a chair and there it was! That little bity lens just sitting there so quietly without so much as a scratch. I could just see God smiling! My friend was so elated! She exclaimed, “Oh, you just saved me $300.00!” We were so happy!
OK, everything taken care of. Problem solved. As I went to sit at my desk, my own glasses weren’t where I had left them. I walked back to where I was, no glasses. I backtracked myself trying to find them. Nowhere are my glasses! This is crazy, now I have lost my glasses! I can’t see to read without them! We looked everywhere! They were gone! I sat down, took a slow deep breath and prayed once again. Lord can you help once more?
For some unknown reason, (but not really…we know God always takes care of us) I got up, walked over to one of the many trash cans, looked down into it and there they were. My glasses! How did they get there? I don’t have a clue… Thank you God! You just saved me $650.00! This time I think He was probably chuckling and thinking; these kids of mine, how precious they are.
This story was a double miracle for us yesterday. Praise God! If you have the faith of a mustard seed you can move mountains! I was ecstatic with a few pairs of glasses!
You see God gave me a special gift yesterday. It was my birthday!
Thank you, God.

Robin I have to say I totally enjoyed your posting.
I can’t tell you so many times I have been searching for something only to find it in a place that I could not fathom how it got there lol.
I know when this happens the Lord is just laughing in amusement.
Once gain thank you for sharing this delightful post!
This story is so cute! It just shows that even in the little things, God can do big things!
I can totally relate to this. If you want to torture me, take my glasses away! (That and make me go to Disneyland.)
